Dr. Martin Lai is a dutifully trained chiropractor, acupuncture provider and kinesiologist specializing in functional ability evaluations, ergonomic testing and developing individualized return to work and return to play programs. Dr. Martin received a degree in kinesiology from the University of Toronto specializing in biomechanics and rehabilitation and a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. In addition, he is certified in Contemporary Medical acupuncture from McMaster University.

Dr. Martin has spent years performing physical testing including: functional assessments, neurological and muscle strength testing for organizations including: CIBC, TD Canada Trust, Metrolinx, State Farm Insurance. Dr. Martin uses the best in evidence to assess for mechanical dysfunctions of the body in order to create personalized treatment plans. His passions lie in getting you moving the way you want

Dr. Martin is also the chiropractor for X Limit Entertainment, a professional performance team comprised of stunt teams and dancers from multiple disciplines including: martial arts, gymnastics, acrobatics, ballet and other various dance styles. Additionally, Dr. Martin has worked closely with the Canadian Pole Fitness Association as well as the Pole dance for Fitness Instructor Commission and has lectured and workshopped for various pole, acrobatic and circus studios across the GTA. Dr. Martin Lai is passionate about studying different movement patterns and applies his unique perspective on movement patterns to the patients under his care.

Flavio Misuraca is a dutifully trained Registered Massage Therapist, is a good-standing member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He received his diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Flavio has received training in cross friction techniques, fascial techniques, and deep structure massage.

Flavio has a deep understanding of human kinetics, peak performance and pushing the limits of the human body having trained in Chinese, Japanese and Thai martial arts. After a severe injury that kept him from training, Flavio made a trip to Thailand to seek treatment from a locally renowned therapist. His time in Thailand inspired him to pursue a career in massage therapy.

Through massage therapy, Flavio was able to address his own muscular dysfunctions and push the limits of his own training. As a martial artist and stunt performer, Flavio understands how pain and dysfunction can negatively impact peak human performance. Flavio’s approach to treatment is the same as his approach to movement, a single holistic machine, working to move you the way you want. Flavio is able to combine his understanding of human movement to provide a unique treatment catered to elite level performers, dancers, aerialists and martial artists. Flavio understands your pain and works with your to move the way you want.

Fei Chi Yang B.Sc., M.Sc., M.PT.

Fei Chi is a registered physiotherapist specializing in orthopaedic and manual therapy. She received her Master of Physical Therapy from Western University after completing her Master of Science degree in biophysics from McMaster University. Fei is certified in Level 1 CPA Orthopaedic Division – Manual Therapy and has a strong passion in improving back flexibility in dancers, acrobats and gymnasts as well as resolving low back pain.

Fei fell in love with dance and acrobatics after years of hating going to the gym. Fei has since competed on the national stage at the Toronto Pro Supershow Pole and Aerial Hoop Competition 2017 placing 2nd place. She is trained in lyra, aerial silks and contortion and continues to push for an elite level of contortionism and flexibility. Fei has a deep appreciation for the anatomy and biomechanics of inherently unstable movements such as inverting and backbends. She uses this passion to help others achieve their flexibility goals as a physiotherapist.

Fei also understands first-hand the postural strains of working at a desk and what it takes to create a healthy work life balance. She combines her background in physics with her love of movement to guide her treatments in helping her patients move more fluidly throughout their daily lives. Her passion in helping people regain trust in their bodies also teaches them the tools to live a pain-free life. She creates personalized care programs that incorporate rehabilitation exercises and stretches to get her patients the results they want.

Jessika Martino is a dutifully trained Registered Massage Therapist, is a good-standing member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She received her diploma in Massage Therapy from Humber College with specialization in athletic and infant care. Jess has received training in cross friction techniques, fascial techniques, and deep tissue Swedish massage.

After suffering her own injuries after years of basketball and soccer training, Jessika has a deep appreciation for proper gait rehabilitation as well as foot and ankle biomechanics. Her time understanding her own injuries inspired her to pursue a career in massage therapy to prevent the same injuries from affecting others. Jess uses her own experiences in gait rehabilitation to address biomechanical issues in her patients and includes remedial exercises as a part of her treatments.

As a new mother wishing to return to physical activity and training, Jess has a newfound appreciation for prenatal, neonatal and postpartum care. Exercise has been instrumental to Jess’ health and includes it in her treatment plans for better and longer-lasting results. Jess’ belief in effective treatment as well as proper biomechanics and exercise is evident in her results and high standards of care. Jess has a strong belief in preventative care while pushing peak performance to get the body moving in ways it was previously unable.

Tara is a registered holistic nutritionist and dance coach with an extensive background in pole sport, modern dance and acrobatics. Tara has spent the past 10 years as a dance coach and choreographer with perofrming all across the Ontario in various acrobatic, pole and dance events and competitions.

Tara’s careers as a nutritionist began when she took a personal interest in her own experiences with burnout. She noticed a plateau in her training, especially in her flexibility, as a result of chronic stress and fatigue. Tara noticed that the right nutritional changes to her diet were able to treat her burnout and improve her performance. Tara uses her knowledge as a nutritionist to help safely guide her dance students through the stress of competition and recovery from in- season training. Tara is currently completing her degree in cognitive behavioural therapy.

Tara is passionate about studying different movement patterns. As a coach, she applies her unique perspective to get students moving in ways they never thought possible through improvements in body awareness. Her holistic approach (mind, body, energy) to training integrates nutrition, body awareness and an attitude of self-belief and positivity, allows for her clients to achieve their health and movement goals.

Tenzin Tara is a certified personal trainer, fascial stretch therapist and gymnastics coach. Tenzin trains in gymnastics, ballet, modern dance and acrobatics. Tenzin began her career over 15 years ago as a competitive gymnast, winning 4 provincial championship titles then becoming a dancer, studying modern dance, ballet and acrobatics completing a Bachelors of Fine Arts specializing in dance.

Tenzin began her career as a personal trainer in 2013 and has been working with a wide variety of body types, catering to different fitness and wellness goals. Tenzin became certified in the fields of nutrition and manual therapy to deepen her appreciation for the role of exercise in a balanced lifestyle. Tenzin is currently completing her degree in osteopathy to further help her clients.

Tenzin uses her background in dance and gymnastics to create fun and unique weight loss programs to get her clients in shape. Tenzin is passionate about studying different movement patterns and applies her unique perspective to get her clients moving in ways they never thought possible. She uses personal training to empower her clients to get them feeling and moving in the ways they want. Tenzin is passionate about helping her clients improve their quality of life through physical activity, in her fun and engaging fitness programs.
